Last month, the artist was invited to give a TED talk and I think that the video is definitely a must-watch for every contemporary musician:

Bogota, Colombia – August 23, 2012. announces their public beta launch in the Best of the Accelerators Startup Battle at The Next Web Conference in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Lucho and Mao presenting at The Next Web Conference, Sao Paulo is a tool for musicians to create a slick, customized website that updates automatically, is easy to set up and best of all, is free. The service was launched in private beta on July 24, 2012 and one month later is being rolled out to a larger audience through invitations that existing users can send to other bands.

“We had such a great response from bands using the site in private beta, that we very quickly got to a point where we had fixed any major issues, made additional improvements, and were ready to bring more bands on board.” says Lucho Molina, one of the founders of

Some of the additional improvements include adding a gallery of band pages to the home, enabling custom domains so that bands can use their own url for their page, letting bands login with their Facebook account, along with a bunch of behind the scenes updates to improve the site’s performance. “It’s with the valuable feedback from our users that guides us in creating our roadmap for the future.” says Lucho. is a service for bands and musicians to create their official website, using content from their social networks and other web services. Content is seamlessly integrated by type rather than source (which is more commonly the norm with this kind of service), this makes band pages feel more like a tailor-made website than a solution for the masses.

The service offers a high level of customization, without crossing the line that separates professional from amateur, making it very hard to create a bad looking band page.

Welcome Alejandro!

By , on , in news, 3 Replies

It’s with great pleasure that we welcome Alejandro Zuleta to the team. He’ll be working side by side with Lucho on development, to help us get the site live as quickly as we can. Alejandro made it through our pretty vigorous “geek test” and we’re happy to say passed with flying colors.

Alejandro’s first day

Here’s what he had to say about his first day with us:

“It was an entertaining and busy first day at After a warm welcome, Lucho soon led me through the rich internal architecture of the website., technically speaking, is an application full of creative possibilities and it’s a great pleasure for me to be a part of its development. Back to the real world, lunch came with a conversation with Mao, full of interesting and fun ideas. But the highlight was not at the lunch table but back waiting for me in the office: a list of bugs to resolve and one in particular that for today remains to be defeated. The daily bread of every programmer. Despite everything I learned today, a day is not complete at if you don’t set a new record on the indo board. And I set mine: 3 seconds!”

We’re glad that Alejandro enjoyed his first day in the team and as a special welcome present he gets to spend the rest of the week in geek heaven at Campus Party Colombia. So what are you waiting for peeps, show him some love or ask him a question in the comments below.
